We believe in keeping things simple and transparent. Unlike most web applications, CompliOne does not place any cookies on your device — not session cookies, not tracking cookies, not advertising cookies.

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information. They are commonly used for session management, user preferences, analytics, and advertising.

CompliOne uses none of these.

CompliOne uses browser local storage — a similar technology built into your browser — to store certain data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data is never automatically sent to our servers with every request.

We use local storage to store:

• Session token — keeps you logged in between visits
• App preferences — your language and dark/light mode setting
• Cached compliance data — speeds up page loading by storing recently fetched data
• Notification state — tracks which notifications you have read or dismissed

This data is stored only on your device and is only accessed by CompliOne when you use the app.

• Tracking cookies — we do not track your behaviour across websites
• Advertising cookies — we do not serve ads or share data with ad networks
• Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar tools
• Social media pixels — we do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar
• Third-party cookies — no third party places cookies on your device through our Service

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Note that doing so will log you out of CompliOne and reset your preferences.

Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data

Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All

If we ever introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy, notify registered users by email, and provide an opt-out mechanism where required by law.
